Monmouth Street Corridor

final rendering.jpg

The Vision for the Monmouth Street Corridor Design includes a connection between Two River Theater and Count Basie. The incorporation of green space is a key connector in this plan. By placing a park with many walking paths, pop-up kiosks, retailers, and art structures it will encourage residents and visitors of Red Bank to walk through this path connecting them to Monmouth Street. Monmouth Street’s new design will incorporate three to five (3-5) story mixed-use buildings in order to maximize the capacity of the space, and street trees will be planted along the corridor as well. This will create a greenway and structured path for individuals. With the train station being located adjacent to Monmouth Street, such development is necessary for Red Bank to fully utilize the land for the potential it has. By implementing this vision for the Monmouth Street Corridor, a theater district will begin to develop throughout the years in which the new and existing retail venues will support and promote the arts, thus creating a cultural sanctuary along Monmouth Street.
